Memoirs Start

Well now how do I start? My life has been eventful and miraculous at the same time. People say that I am too young to start on my memoirs but I respectfully disagree.

Varied stuff has been happening, enough to write a book. And many invites and friends have said the same. So with no further delay, I am going to start today.

What does a writer in postmodern America do and how does he position his manuscript? All I know is that everything I write do or say will be placed under scrutiny. Mainly by people that I don't know. So I'll allow for that. If you want to know something, the best way to get the best answer is to ask me. So this memoir is an effort to address those claims and also as a record of memory for my life as it goes on in the present perfect.

I offer from time to time testimonials from people that did know me at various moments in my life to offer up their opinions and recollections.

Charles Murray - Real Education

A wonderful book by one of the most revered social commentators of our time, Real Education is an indictment on the efforts by yet another governmental agency to preclude that all children should be raised to the same bar.

The four assumptions that he bases all of his arguments are the following:

1. Ability varies.
2. Half of the children are below average.
3. Too many people are going to college.
4. America's future depends on how we educate the academically gifted.

Read his many reviews on Amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Real-Education-Bringing-Americas-Schools/product-reviews/0307405389/ref=dp_db_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Do you agree or disagree?
Charles Murray is voicing a very controversial topic, and one that teachers have been wanting to voice but were afraid of doing so. Not very politically correct, yet accessible and compelling, Real Education is a must read for all parents, educators, and policy-makers. Even if you don't agree with its arguments, you will be hard pressed to find a more clearly-stated position about the meta-assumptions of education.

Charles Murray, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, is the author of “Real Education: Four Simple Truths for Bringing America’s Schools Back to Reality.”
